In the second quarter of 2022, the top gacha games in Finland showed notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here, we take a closer look at the performance of the top five games: 8 Ball Pool™, Sonic Forces PvP Racing Battle, Top War: Battle Game, Genshin Impact, and Dislyte.
8 Ball Pool™ by Miniclip.com saw a varied performance throughout Q2 2022. Weekly revenue experienced fluctuations, starting at approximately $5.8K in late March and peaking at around $6.2K by the end of June. Weekly downloads showed an initial decline but surged to about 4K in mid-June. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 46K, with a slight drop towards the end of the quarter.
Sonic Forces PvP Racing Battle from SEGA had a different trajectory. The game's weekly revenue remained modest, peaking at $173 at the beginning of the quarter and generally staying below $155 thereafter. Downloads saw a significant peak in April with 1.7K weekly downloads, followed by a steady decline to around 500 by the end of June. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 6.8K in early May before gradually falling to approximately 4.6K.
Top War: Battle Game by River Game HK Limited showed a steady revenue stream, peaking at $7.8K at the end of March and seeing another high of $7.1K towards the end of May. Downloads experienced notable peaks in early June with 2.3K weekly downloads, though the trend quickly tapered off. Active users saw a significant increase in early June, reaching up to 7.9K before stabilizing around 5.4K towards the end of the quarter.
Genshin Impact by COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. remained a strong performer with weekly revenue peaking at $29K in late March and another high of $19.6K at the end of May. Downloads remained relatively low throughout the quarter, averaging around 600 per week. Active users, however, showed a steady presence, averaging around 13K weekly.
Dislyte by Farlight Games, launched in early May, quickly gained traction. Weekly revenue saw a peak of approximately $4.3K by mid-May. Downloads spiked at 3.7K during its release week, but gradually declined to around 280 by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 1.9K in early May and stabilizing around 1K towards the end of the quarter.
